AMANEcurated are blessed to be hosting the flagship authentic relating level 1 training by Authentic Relating international (ART). This course has introduced the foundational tools and skills of this life changing practice to thousands of people around the world. The course is designed to make the learning of authentic relating as accessible, adoptable, practical, and engaging as possible, so that graduates can apply their new skills to their lives right away with immediate results.
The designed this course to give you the experience of profound connection, intimacy, trust, and aliveness with anyone you want, anytime, anywhere – all within just two days. The tools and skills we teach work across all social contexts, from the workplace to the living room, from strangers to partners and everyone in between.
ARTs experienced Course Leaders expertly guide you through a curriculum that strongly emphasizes embodied and experiential learning. This is not a lecture or seminar – it is a deep dive full-immersion training that will leave you enlivened, heart and mind-opened, and deeply connected to yourself and others.
ART international has delivered the same Level 1 Course to spiritual seekers in Bali, jail inmates in Colorado, executives in New York City, and men and women from all across the social, cultural, economic, and political spectrum, of all ages and nationalities, on four continents. Universally, participants report profound and lasting transformation in all aspects of their lives. The course speaks in the shared language of human connection, and is designed specifically to include everyone in the practice of Authentic Relating, no matter what path they’ve traveled in life.
The founders of this programme believe that we all have the capacity to be bridges – between parts of ourselves, ourselves with others, and together with the world. The course’s mission is to build bridges, and use our bridges to heal, connect, and co-create a more enlivened, awakened world – together.
Course Details
The ART of Being Human - Level 1
Both days begin at 10am and end roughly at 8pm, with a 90 minute lunch break in the early afternoon. Highly trained and experienced course facilitators guide you through a thoroughly tested and proven sequence of exercises designed to teach you the most powerful tools to create and deepen connection, with facilitated group conversation after each exercise to ensure maximum learning. We’ve constructed the exercises to ensure that the foundational skills of Authentic Relating are most efficiently and effectively absorbed by participants, no matter their level of prior experience or training.

Rick Smith
Rick is one of the course leaders of Authentic Relating International. He is an international education consultant and national presenter. He has shared practical teaching strategies to over a hundred thousand teachers and teacher-trainers worldwide, including two years training American Peace Corps Volunteer Teachers in Ghana, West Africa. Rick was a classroom teacher for over fourteen years, focusing primarily on students-at-risk. He’s been a mentor/support provider and mentor coordinator for many years, and has taught in both Elementary and Secondary Credential programs in northern California. Rick has conducted hundreds of workshops and keynotes throughout the world that are consistently praised for both their motivational and practical value.

Getting to Koh Phangan Island
BY BUS & BOAT BY PLANE & BOAT
From Bangkok: the cheapest way is to take one of the overnight buses leaves Khaosan Road evening about 18.00 and in the next morning arrives Surathani, then take a boat from Donsak Pier.
Bus and boat combo ticket can be arranged by travel agencies on Khaosan Road for about 700-900 Baht all the way to Koh Phangan.
BY TRAIN & BOAT
Taking the overnight train from Bangkok with a proper bed is also a comfortable way to get Koh Phangan. Trains stop early morning at Surathani, buy bus and boat ticket to Koh Phangan Island. Train tickets from Surathani back to Bangkok should be reserved in advance specially in high season.
The cheapest option is to fly from Bangkok (BKK) to Surathani Airport (URT) with AirAsia.
Transportation to the ferry pier is easy to find at Surathani airport.
Ferries depart several times a day with the last one around 17.30.
Travel time: 1-hour flight from Bangkok to Surathani airport. Then is 1.5-hour bus ride to the boat pier and depending on what boat company you take the boat to Koh Phangan is between 1.5 hours (Lompraya) -2.5 hours (Raja fairy).
Flying to Koh Samui is convenient, yet more expensive, you may check the rates for yourself. Koh- Samui Airport (USM) has frequent flights from Bangkok (BKK) with Bangkok airways.
Travel time 1-hour flight and 30 minutes boat ride from Koh Samui to Koh Phangan.
